Privacy Policy
EmpowerZ (“we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and safeguard
your personal data when you visit our website, create an account, purchase or
attend our training courses, or engage our business (B2B) consultancy services
in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and other Gulf
Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Please read this Policy carefully. By accessing or using our services you
acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree
with it, please do not use our services.
EmpowerZ is a provider of professional training and advisory services. We
deliver business-to-consumer (B2C) training courses — self-paced online
courses, live webinars and classroom (in-person) sessions — and
business-to-business (B2B) consultancy services delivered on a retainer,
project, hourly, or call basis. For any privacy-related enquiry you may contact
us at Support@empowerz.net.
This Policy applies to all personal data processed by EmpowerZ through
our website, learning platforms, communication channels, events, and
consultancy engagements. It applies to individual learners, corporate clients
and their representatives, website visitors, and prospective customers.
We collect the following categories of personal data:
•
Identity and contact data: full
name, email address, telephone number, country and city of residence, job
title, and employer or organisation name.
•
Account data: username, password
(stored in encrypted form), and account preferences.
•
Transaction and billing data:
billing name and address, tax/VAT identification (where applicable), purchase
history, invoices, and the currency of payment (EGP, SAR or USD). Full card
numbers are processed by our payment providers and are not stored by us.
•
Learning and engagement data:
courses enrolled in, attendance and progress records, assessment results,
certificates issued, and feedback or survey responses.
•
Consultancy data: information you
provide to us to deliver advisory services, meeting notes, deliverables, and
correspondence.
•
Technical and usage data: IP
address, device and browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages
viewed, and interactions with our website (collected via cookies and similar
technologies — see our Cookie Policy).
•
Marketing data: your preferences
in receiving marketing communications from us.
•
Directly from you when you
register, purchase, complete forms, attend sessions, or communicate with us.
•
Automatically through cookies and
similar technologies when you use our website.
•
From third parties such as our
payment processors, corporate clients enrolling their employees, and analytics
or marketing providers.
We use your personal data to:
•
Provide, administer and deliver
our training courses and consultancy services;
•
Create and manage your account and
issue certificates;
•
Process payments, issue invoices
and prevent fraud;
•
Communicate with you regarding
your enrolments, bookings, schedule changes and support requests;
•
Improve our services, content and
website through analytics;
•
Send you marketing communications
where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law;
•
Comply with legal, regulatory, tax
and accounting obligations in Egypt, KSA and the GCC.
We process personal data where: (a) it is necessary to perform a contract
with you; (b) you have given consent; (c) we have a legitimate interest that is
not overridden by your rights; or (d) we must comply with a legal obligation.
Our processing is conducted in accordance with applicable data protection laws,
including Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) and the
Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, together with
applicable regulations in other GCC jurisdictions.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
•
Service providers acting on our
behalf (payment processors, hosting, learning-platform, email and analytics
providers);
•
Corporate clients where you have
been enrolled by your employer, limited to attendance and progress information;
•
Trainers and consultants engaged
to deliver the services;
•
Professional advisers, auditors
and regulators where required;
•
Authorities or third parties where
necessary to comply with the law or protect our rights.
Because we operate across Egypt, KSA and other GCC countries, and because
some of our service providers are located abroad, your data may be transferred
to and processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data
internationally, we take appropriate safeguards to ensure it remains protected
in accordance with applicable law.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the
purposes described in this Policy, including to satisfy legal, tax, accounting
and reporting obligations. Financial records are typically retained for the
period required by applicable law. When data is no longer required, we securely
delete or anonymise it.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures —
including encryption, access controls and secure hosting — to protect personal
data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. No method of
transmission over the internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee
absolute security.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
•
Access the personal data we hold
about you;
•
Request correction of inaccurate
or incomplete data;
•
Request deletion of your data in
certain circumstances;
•
Object to or restrict certain
processing;
•
Withdraw consent at any time
(without affecting prior lawful processing);
•
Request data portability where
applicable;
•
Lodge a complaint with the
competent data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at Support@empowerz.net. We
will respond within the period required by applicable law.
Our services are directed to adults and to professionals. We do not
knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 18 without
appropriate parental or guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided
us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Where permitted, we may send you information about courses, offers and
services. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails
or by contacting Support@empowerz.net.
Our website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not
responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to
review their policies.
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Effective Date” at the
top of this document indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will
be notified through our website or by email.
For any question about this Privacy Policy or your personal data, contact
us at Support@empowerz.net.
